Nowadays with all the fancy computer tools out there the temptation is to let the computer do most of the work for you. When you're really up against a deadline I can see how this is useful, but there is nothing more satisfying than simple old pencil and paper to rock out a drawing. As much as I can I try to sketch and doodle whenever possible. I carry a sketchbook most everywhere I go. Sometimes I find I just bring the sketchbook along for the ride, but the whole point is to actually USE it. Whenever I am waiting in line, by myself, or bored, I open the sketchbook and start to doodle. It's the pencil mileage that really matters, it's the basis for everything we do.

Doesn't this always seem to happen... you are all hyped up to begin drawing, but you have no storyboard template! Now your worries are over. Click on the Resources button and you'll see are fine examples of some wicked storyboard templates.
You will find TV and feature templates with 4:3, 16:9, and 2:35 aspect ratios. The vertical templates are perfect for posting in the forums. Just make sure you follow the posting guidelines, and don't put anything wider than 550pixels. [Complete Story]
